    This tour is a magical journey starting at Chennai and heading to the old city and port of Cochin. From here, you explore the backwater canals and experience the authentic ayurvedic massages of Kerala. The next stop is Aurangabad, home to the ancient Buddhist cave paintings at Ajanta & Ellora. Explore the capital city of New Delhi, visit the forts and palaces of the pink city, Jaipur and end the trip with a visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal at Agra.

     
     

    Bullet DAY 1: CHENNAI

    Late night arrival into Chennai - India’s fourth largest city which has an interesting blend of the traditional Tamil Hindu culture and Colonial British architecture. Stay overnight in Chennai.

    DAY 2: CHENNAI

    Day trip to Mahabalipuram to visit the sixth century shore temples and Dakshinachitra, a center for the living traditions of art, craft and architecture of South India. Stay overnight in Chennai.

    DAY 3: CHENNAI / COCHIN

    Fly to Cochin, the historic capital of Portuguese India, on the coast of the Arabian Sea. Cruise the harbor during sunset and enjoy the traditional Kathakali dance program. Stay overnight in Cochin.

    DAY 4: COCHIN

    Morning visit the 16th century Mattancherry Palace and the Jewish Synagogue. Afternoon view the TopChinese fishing nets and walk through the spice markets in the old Jew Town. Stay overnight in Cochin.

    DAY 5: KUMARAKOM

    Drive to Kumarakom and stay in a beautiful resort set amidst the coconut palms on Vembanad Lake. Afternoon explore the resort and experience the authentic Ayurvedic massages. Stay overnight in Kumarakom.

    DAY 6: KUMARAKOM

    Morning boat ride through the backwater canals, take part in the several activities and sightseeing options offered by the resort. Stay overnight in Kumarakom.

    DAY 7: KUMARAKOM /
    AURANGABAD

    Morning at leisure. After an early lunch depart to Cochin. Fly to Mumbai to connect the flight to Aurangabad, famous for two significant UNESCO world heritage sites, Ajanta and Ellora. Stay overnight in Aurangabad.

    DAY 8: AURANGABAD / DELHI

    Morning visit the spectacular Buddhist carvings of 2nd century BC at Ajanta and the splendid rock temples of Ellora. Take the evening flight to Delhi. Stay overnight in Delhi.


    DAY 9: DELHI

    Sightseeing in Delhi - visit the Red Fort and Jama Masjid in Old Delhi. Drive past the India Gate, Parliament building and the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India. Visit the Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb. Stay overnight in Delhi.

    DAY 10: DELHI / JAIPUR

    Early morning fly to “The Pink City”, Jaipur. Visit the magnificent Amber Fort, entering the gates on a brightly decorated elephant. Afternoon visit the Hawa Mahal also called as the Palace of Winds and the City Palace. Stay overnight in Jaipur.

    DAY 11: JAIPUR

    Drive to the nearby village of Samode to visit the 19th century Samode Palace, one of the best heritage hotels in the country depicting Rajput-Moghul architecture. Return to Jaipur in the early evening for shopping. Stay overnight in Jaipur.

    DAY 12: JAIPUR / AGRA

    Morning drive to Agra enroute visiting the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri. Stay overnight in Agra.

    DAY 13: AGRA /
    DELHI / DEPARTURE

    Morning visit the splendid Taj Mahal and the 16th century Mughal Fort of Agra. Afternoon take the train or drive to Delhi to connect to international flights.
